Experienced in Customer Service and Human Services
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is William Halstead and I am writing to express my interest in the fields of Customer Service and Human Services.
In the past, I have worked for a variety of different positions, jobs which have provided me with invaluable experiences and skills that would enable me to be a valued member of a team. I was first introduced to sales and retail as a Manager Trainee back in New York City at an electronics retail store in the Chrysler Building. My experiences in Sales and Customer Services continued from there. I have worked in numerous call centers in Colorado Springs, both in entering data for existing customers and in selling items to new and existing customers.
I had also worked for a variety of Human Services agencies. My positions in these agencies included:
· Personnel Specialist
· Rehabilitation Aide· Residential Counselor
· Outreach Worker· Case Manager
· Income Maintenance Technician II (Temporary)
I have worked for certain positions which required me to act in a supervisory capacity. In Brooklyn, New York, I worked at the office of a home attendant agency, a position which required that I ensure proper staffing with home attendants for various clients in their home for home care and, while working in the World Center, my position included supervising agency clients who were participating in a job training program called Project Break Through.
In college, I had majored in Human Services and I had earned 114 college credits while maintaining full-time employment and a 3.4 GPA. While attending school, I had also served as the Secretary and the Vice President in our school’s student government.
I would like to bring these skills and experiences to your organization!
I look forward to hearing back from your office!
Sincerely,
William Halstead

In today’s world, it is especially important to be able to achieve that perfect balance between life and work. While I am interested in Customer Service and Human Services, these are not my only interests.
Other interests and activities that I enjoy include:
· Art: I enjoy painting with acrylics (there are two examples of my artwork ("Story Teller" and "Creation's Dream") on this page) and appreciate photography
· Reading: I love reading certain science fiction novels (Isaac Asimov is one of my favorite writers), The Lord of the Rings, certain spiritual and self-help books (such as The Celestine Prophecy series of books and the Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ)
· Classic Movies: I really love Casablanca, Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner, Mildred Pierce, and Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Wolf?
· Certain Television Shows: The Handmaid’s Tale, Terra Nova, American Horror Story, Big Love, Pose, and Star Trek
· Cooking: I like to experiment with different recipes, foods that are different from those with which I grew up; I am now exploring more vegetarian recipes, such as fiesta rice
· Outdoors: I like to hike in the Garden of the Gods and at North Cheyenne Canyon
