Case Manager: 

·         Conducted initial intake on mentally male ill clients entering the shelter on Ward's Island

·         Completed psychosocial and submitted paperwork to shelter's psychiatrist 

·         Conducted informal in-services for clients in order to prepare them for life outside of shelter 

·         Discussed psychotropic treatment for client with staff psychiatrist 

Outreach Worker: 

·         Provided case management and referral services to mentally ill, homeless population residing at the World Trade Center and at the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal 

·         Referred clients to substance abuse treatment programs 

·         Referred clients to John Heuss House for further case management for mentally ill clients

·         Conducted initial paperwork and census counts for new clients to be referred to agency's shelter on Ward's Island or for city-owned shelters 

·         Supervised the work performed by shelter clients who were working through Project Breakthrough
